After meeting the guide at your hotel and boarding comfortable off-road vehicle, you will depart from Almaty to Turgen Gorge. There you will make the first stop and have a sightseeing tour to the Bear Waterfall. After the walk you will continue to drive up the gorge. When you reach Asy Pass, you will stop for a picnic at a place with a wonderful view of the plateau. Then you will drive a little further to the most suitable place for setting a camp, where you will have dinner and rest.

Asy Plateau is a huge plain, located at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level and surrounded by ridges over 3000 meters above sea level. On the southwest side, the valley is covered with snowy peaks, from which glaciers "flow". Along the rivers stretches forest massifs, consisting mainly of Tian Shan spruce. The plateau stretches for 40 km and in some places it is 15 km wide. Along the Asy river there are ancient barrows and rock paintings, which are one of the highest concentrations of petroglyphs in Kazakhstan. At present, the plateau has become a pasture of national importance. Here, on the plateau, a famous mountain observatory in Kazakhstan is located.
Wake-up, breakfast and disassembling of the camp. Further you will have a short drive to the Bartogai Reservoir. There you can walk around and take beautiful pictures for memory. If you have a desire, you can have a picnic on the lake shore or have lunch in a cafe on the way to Almaty. Estimated arrival at your hotel in Almaty is about 19:00.

Amazing in beauty Bartogai water reservoir is located in the valley of the same name in the floodplain of Chilik river. It is blocked by a stone-bulk dam 60 meters high and 330 meters long with a complex of culverts. It is designed to accumulate water in winter and feed the fields in summer through a special 160 km long channel. From June to September, water is released from under the Chilik River Dam for irrigated farming. At this time, the discharge capacity reaches 100 cubic meters per second, and the height of the fountain is more than 100 meters. Under enormous pressure, the water streams burst out into the air and, breaking down into tiny splashes, form a cloud of rainbow-water dust sparkling in the sun. Here you can enjoy the rich nature and clean air and forget about the bustle of the city.
