Itinerary
Day 1 – After meeting your guide at the hotel and boarding a comfortable off-road vehicle, you'll travel from Karaganda to Karkaralinsk (230 km/143 mi, 4 hours). Upon arrival, you'll check into the hotel for rest and lunch. The first highlight is an excursion to Tasbulak Gorge (20 km/12 mi), renowned for its nature museum and enclosure housing bison and deer. Following the museum visit, we'll explore the Three Caves, revealing traces of ancient human activity. In the evening we will return to Karkaralinsk, where you'll have dinner and relax.

Day 2 – After breakfast, you'll be transported to the base of the Karkaraly Mountains (12 km/7.5 mi, 20 min). Today's itinerary includes a half-day walking tour around the mountains, visiting Shaitankol Lake, and ascending to the top of Obzornaya Peak (1343 meters/4400 ft above sea level) for a panoramic view of the area. The total ascent is approximately 250 meters (820 ft). Following the tour, we'll return to Karkaralinsk for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town and visit the Local History Museum. Then, we'll be back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 3 – After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we will depart from Karkaralinsk for Kassym Amanzholov village (50 km/31 mi, 1 hour). There, we will explore the Forty Lakes area and an abandoned gem mine (10 km/6 mi, 15-minute drive, followed by a 2-hour walking tour). A picnic follows, and then an excursion to the Kyzylkenysh river valley (15 km/9 mi, 40 min), where the Kent palace (Buddhist temple) and the ancient settlement of Kent, dating back to the Bronze Age, are situated. After the sightseeing, we proceed to the archaeologists' camp, engaged in excavating the ancient settlement (6 km/4 mi, 15 min). Upon arrival, a tent camp will be set up for dinner and rest.

Day 4 – After breakfast, our first destination is the Kimasar Gorge (62 km/38 mi, 2 hours). In the gorge, we'll embark on a mountain hike and explore the Forester's Cabin. Those interested can enjoy a swim in the lake. Lunch will be served on the lakeshore, and afterward, we'll return to Karaganda (235 km/146 mi, 4 hours) for a farewell dinner.
