Museum of Nature

The Museum of Nature is situated in the Tasbulak Gorge of Karkaraly National Park. Housed in a two-story wooden structure, the museum features exhibition halls showcasing the local flora and fauna. Notable exhibits include unusually large cones. The museum also display taxidermied animals native to the area. The museum extends to the surrounding area, where bisons, introduced in the early 2000s from the Bialowieza Forest of Belarus, roam and breed in the wild. A special enclosure hosts wild boars, yaks, spotted deer, and Przewalski's horses.

Lake Shaitankol
The most mysterious place in the Karkaraly National Park is Lake Shaitankol, meaning Devil's Lake in Kazakh. The lake is concealed by rocks, making it challenging to find. This obscurity is one reason why it's called the Devil's Lake. Local lore suggests that devils purposely confuse the path to it. Other legends, including rumors of a double bottom and unknown depth, surround the lake. Esotericists speculate about a portal to a parallel world at the lake's bottom. Shaitankol's water of reddish color further adds a little mystery to the lake. However, it's merely a result of minerals in the water.
The trail to the lake, beginning near the Shakhter Health Resort, follows the Karkaralinka mountain river through pine and birch forests and rocks. Shaitankol is located at the mountain's peak, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Kent Palace

The ruins of Kent Palace, situated in the Kent Mountains, trace their origins back to the 17th century. The structure is modest, square in shape, and surrounded by rocky mountains. It was constructed during the Jungarian Khanate period, a time when Tibetan Buddhism gained popularity among certain tribes in Central Kazakhstan. Therefore, Kent Palace is believed to have been a Buddhist temple. Archaeological excavations have unearthed fragments of red and yellow wooden openwork plates, ironwork fragments, beads, ceramic shards, mica, and more.

Kimasar Gorge

The Kimasar (Komissarovskoye) Gorge, located 18 kilometers (11 mi) from Karkaralinsk, stands out as one of the highlights in Karkaraly National Park. The area features radon springs, dense forests, and an abundance of mushrooms and berries. The tract goes by various names, including Kenesary, Kenisary, Komissarovo, Kemisary, and Kenisarovskoye. The correct name, "Kim Asar," is translated from Kazakh as "who will pass." Interestingly, there are two Kim Asar Gorges in Kazakhstan, one in Karkaraly and another near Almaty.
