Nevzorov Family Museum of Fine Arts

Established in 1985, the Nevzorov Family Museum of Fine Arts resides in a building with a rich cultural history. Since 1870, it served as the residence of merchant Fyodor Stepanov, where well-read, educated individuals often gather. The museum owes its name to the Nevzorov family, who generously contributed 569 artworks, forming the foundation of its collection. This generous donation has blossomed into an exhibition accessible to all.

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts further enriched the museum in Semey by donating engravings and paintings from Russian, English, French, and Dutch masters of the 17-19th centuries.

Presently, the museum displays works by renowned artists like Karl Bryullov, Arkhip Kuindzhi, Ivan Shishkin, Alexei Savrasov, and Ivan Kramskoy, alongside creations by esteemed Kazakhstani artists such as L. Leontyev, A. Kasteyev, A. Galimbaeva, S. Mambeev, E. Sidorkin, A. Cherkassky, L. Zaletsman, and others.

The museum also hosts a library with a diverse collection of approximately 11,000 books in different languages. The assortment encompasses works on fine arts, literature, art exhibition catalogs, dictionaries, and more.

Visitors to the museum can explore an art salon on the first floor, where antiques, art literature, and paintings are available for purchase. For budding artists, the children's art studio conducts classes to nurture and awaken creativity in young minds.
