Located along the main street of the village of Burabay stands the Museum of Local History and Nature. Despite its modest three-story structure, this institution houses an abundance of treasures.

The museum's exhibition spans multiple halls, offering visitors a journey through millennia of history. Discover the fauna that roams these lands, depicted not only through imagery but also through taxidermy specimens. Explore collections showcasing the diverse insect life indigenous to the region.

Another hall offers insight into the waterfowl and meadow birds that inhabit these parts, along with educational displays detailing efforts aimed at safeguarding their populations. Proceeding onward, visitors encounter exhibitions dedicated to the rich flora of Burabay. The museum also showcases collections of mushrooms, minerals, and a detailed model of Burabay National Park.

Guests can opt for a ticket to the terrarium, where a menagerie of reptiles and insects awaits.

Operating hours for the Museum of Local History and Nature are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The museum is open daily, except Mondays. Adjacent to the museum lies a zoo boasting approximately 30 animal and bird species, including argali, yaks, bison, wolves, wild boars, and many more.
