Aliya Moldagulova Memorial Museum

Aliya Moldagulova is among the most renowned heroines of World War II, a young sniper whose bravery and selflessness earned her a place in history. During the liberation of the town of Nasva, she led her unit into the attack six times under intense fire. When all company officers were lost, she stepped in as commander. In that same battle she was seriously wounded. Her fellow soldiers carried her to cover, but the barn they hid in was struck by artillery and caught fire. Aliya died alongside her comrades. In total, she eliminated 78 enemy soldiers.

A museum dedicated to her opened in Aktobe in 1985. Today, it holds more than 11,000 items: archival documents, award certificates, military uniforms, weapons, ammunition, household objects, and rare wartime books. The exhibition presents not only her combat path but also her life before the war.

The museum features modern dioramas with 3D mapping, AR elements, VR content, multimedia zones, and digital storytelling. Visitors can take a virtual tour in five languages. One of the most striking elements is a hologram of Aliya writing a letter home from the front.
