Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) stands as a preeminent institution of higher learning in Kazakhstan, having been established in 1934. It is the country's first university to achieve international certification for adhering to standards of educational quality. KazNU offers comprehensive academic programs leading to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
Spanning over 100 hectares, the university's campus encompasses diverse facilities, including the main administrative building, 14 educational structures, the Al-Farabi library, 14 dormitories, 4 museums, a technology park, a student service center, a student discussion club, the Palace of Students, and many more.
KazNU boasts 16 faculties delivering education across 180 specialized fields. Among the most sought-after faculties are law, philology, medicine, biotechnology, physics and technology, IT, and economics.
With an international student body comprising approximately 26,000 individuals from various countries, KazNU actively engages in collaborations with 400 global universities. You can get to KazNU buses #30, 32, 45, 70, 79, 124, 205 and trolleybuses #7, 9, and 11. However, certain faculties, such as the Faculty of Pre-University Education, the Faculty of the Military Department, and the Faculty of International Relations, are situated at different addresses.
