Almaty-1 Railway Station

Almaty-1 Railway Station, constructed in 1974, is one of the two railway stations in Almaty. Its architecture, characterized by a minimalist style, bears a resemblance to the design of the airport building.

Within the station's premises, there are ticket offices, waiting rooms, cafes, storage rooms, and utility spaces. Additionally, visitors and passengers can access various amenities, including ATMs, a photo salon, a prayer room, a pharmacy, payment terminals, and a mini-market. Tunnels conveniently link passenger platforms to the station building, eliminating the need to step outside to reach the platform. The station encompasses two platforms.

Presently, the station accommodates trains arriving from cities such as Astana, Pavlodar, Uralsk, Aktobe, Kostanay, Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazybek-Bek, Saryagash, and others.
