Jambyl Philharmonic Hall
Constructed in the 1930s, the Jambyl Philharmonic Hall originally served as the Palace of Culture. This two-story building now houses two halls – one designed for chamber music and another, a larger music hall. They both can accommodate approximately 1000 attendees. Presently, the philharmonic comprises six musical ensembles, including symphonic, folklore, ethnographic, and brass orchestras, a choir, a string quartet, and a woodwind quintet.
The annual calendar at the Philharmonic Hall is marked by performances featuring world-class artists, diverse concerts dedicated to state or city celebrations, and the Zhiger music festival, among other events. The venue also offers the opportunity to revel in the timeless classical compositions of Shostakovich, Brahms, Chopin, and other renowned musicians.
