Muhammadi Mosque
In 2003, a new mosque was constructed in Ust-Kamenogorsk. It was named after businessman K.A. Muhamadiev, who funded the project. The mosque features a dome and two tall minarets. The dome's blue color symbolizes peace, spiritual purity, and elevation. A crescent, a standard element of all Muslim places of worship, adorns the top of the dome. The mosque's design is inspired by Central Asian architecture, with its spherical domes and entrance arches. The minarets, each 45 meters (148 ft) high, are built in the Istanbul style. Each minaret is topped with a tall conical spire.
The Muhammadi Mosque includes separate prayer halls for men and women, in accordance with Islamic traditions. It also has rooms for ablutions (purification before prayer). The mosque's interior walls are decorated with inscriptions of Allah's name and quotes from the Quran. The floor is covered with carpets, as it is customary for Muslims to remove their shoes before praying.
In front of the mosque, there is a green park with fountains and benches, offering a comfortable place to relax after prayer or while waiting for the service to start.
