Abu Dhabi Plaza
Abu Dhabi Plaza is not only the tallest building in Kazakhstan, but also in all of Central Asia. This impressive complex was planned to be completed in 2016, but due to various reasons, it took more than ten years for the construction to be completed. Partial opening occurred in 2019, and a shopping center with restaurants and shops was launched in one of the towers.
Abu Dhabi Plaza is more than just a building; it is a city within a city, offering a one-stop solution for all your needs. From supermarkets to branded boutiques, coffee shops to restaurants, children's development centers to beauty salons, it has everything you need. Moreover, the complex is situated in a bustling area on the left bank of the capital, with a large park behind it and nearby attractions such as the Baiterek Monument, Keruen Shopping Mall, Nurzhol Boulevard, and Botanical Garden.
Abu Dhabi Plaza consists of five buildings, with the tallest tower named «Kazakhstan» having 75 floors and measuring 311 meters (1020 ft) – almost the same height as the Eiffel Tower and Chrysler Building. The tower houses residential premises and offices, and construction work is still ongoing for interior decoration on several floors. The next two buildings have 29 and 30 floors and are also dedicated to offices. The fourth building has 15 floors, and its apartments offer direct access to the shopping center.
The five-star Sheraton Hotel, which opened in 2020, is also part of the complex and features almost 200 rooms and 100 residential suites. Abu Dhabi Plaza also boasts the largest 4-story parking lot, which is available for use by guests of the shopping center, office employees, and apartment residents.
One notable feature of Abu Dhabi Plaza is its energy efficiency and environmental friendliness, with the complex built according to «green» building standards. Overall, Abu Dhabi Plaza is a remarkable achievement and a significant landmark in the city of Astana.
