Oceanarium
Ailand proudly houses the first oceanarium in Kazakhstan, established in 2003. It holds a notable distinction in the Guinness Book of Records for being the most remote oceanarium from seas and oceans, situated over 3000 km (~1900 mi) away.
Spanning vast tanks encompassing a staggering 3 million liters of water and 120 tons of sea salt, meticulously sourced from the Red and Dead Seas annually, the oceanarium hosts a diverse ecosystem. Over two thousand species of marine animals, each fascinating in their own right, call this aquatic paradise their home.
Aquapark
As the largest water park in Astana, Ailand's aquapark can accommodate up to 1,500 guests. Spread across two floors, the aquapark features state-of-the-art amenities, including a pervasive system of warm floors and climate control. The pool water is maintained at a comfortably warm temperature of 30oC (86oF).
For those seeking relaxation, a tranquil «lazy» river meanders along the periphery of the first floor. Two pools, including a wave pool that both children and adults revel in, offer endless fun and enjoyment. Other notable attractions include a swim-up bar, a children's area, and an animated stage where talented entertainers delight visitors.
For those seeking an exhilarating adventure, the aquapark offers seven different slides, each monitored by two lifeguards. Additionally, guests can indulge in the amenities such as a Turkish hammam, Russian and Finnish saunas, a massage room, and a food court.
Ferris Wheel
Adjacent to the Ailand center stands an impressive Ferris wheel, proudly holding the distinction of being the largest in the country. Soaring to a height of 65 meters (213 ft), the Ferris wheel provides a panoramic view of the city. Its 36 cabins, equipped with air conditioning and heating systems, enable year-round operation, defying even the harshest weather conditions. With the ability to withstand temperatures as low as -15oC (5oF) and winds reaching speeds of up to 20 meters per second, this sturdy construction was purpose-built to withstand the city's challenging climate.
Dinosaurs Among Us
Within the heart of Ailand lies the Jungle Animatronics Theater, a beloved destination for children and adults alike. The centerpiece of this theater is a unique collection of lifelike dinosaur robots. Immerse yourself in the prehistoric world as these animatronic marvels transport you back in time. Complementing this remarkable spectacle is a terrarium, which offers a glimpse into the lives of diverse reptiles and amphibians.
