Mangystau Regional Museum of Local History
Opened in 1975 in Aktau, the museum showcases more than 50 thousand exhibits. The museum is dedicated to the nature and history of the Mangystau Region. There you can also see traditional works of art, household items, and jewelry. The museum also exhibits artifacts found during excavations of the Altyngazgan archaeological site.
Mangystau Regional Museum of Local History contains several thematic halls:

Opening hours: Tuesday-Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm
Lunchbreak: from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
Monday, Saturday, and Sunday are days-off
