Mausoleum of Tolybai Batyr
There are numerous ancient ritual and burial structures located near the Aral Sea. One of them is the Mausoleum of Tolybai Batyr, dating back to the 19th century. Constructed from adobe bricks, this single-chamber cylindrical structure features a dome with three small windows at the top. Unfortunately, the outer surface of the building has suffered significant damage over time because adobe bricks are not resistant to precipitation.
The Mausoleum of Tolybai Batyr was first documented by the KazProektrestavratsiya Institute in 1986, and in 2003 it was officially placed under state protection.
Tolybai Batyr (1780-1869) was a renowned figure known for his bravery and participation in various military campaigns.
