Kaskasu Falls
Kaskasu Falls is one of the most stunning attractions in Sairam-Ugam National Park. These waterfalls are often referred to as "Japanese waterfalls" because the water cascades down in thin streams, resembling the iconic waterfalls of Japan.
As you journey through the Kaskasu Gorge towards the falls, you'll be treated to breathtaking landscapes and juniper forests. Along the way, you'll encounter several rivers that you'll need to wade through. Be sure to follow safety guidelines, as the stones beneath the water can be quite slippery.
How to get there?
Kaskasu Waterfalls are situated approximately 65 km (40 mi) southeast of Shymkent, in the Karjantau Ridge, near the village of Kaskasu. The journey by car from Shymkent takes around 1.5 hours. From the parking area, the walking route covers 6 km (4 mi) round trip.
