Jetysu Regional Museum of Local History
The Jetysu Regional Museum of Local History first opened its doors in 1974 and has since undergone continuous expansion to showcase the rich history of the Jetysu Region.
The museum boasts an extensive collection, encompassing archaeological discoveries from the stone, iron, bronze, and Middle Ages. Additionally, visitors can see a diverse array of stuffed animals indigenous to the region, along with various documents, manuscripts, utensils, and musical instruments. In total, the museum proudly houses approximately 27,000 artifacts, arranged across five thematic halls:
- Nature of Jetysu
- Life and Culture of the Kazakh People
- Ancient and Medieval History of the Region
- Jetysu in the Soviet Period
- Independent Kazakhstan
