Kazakhstan Introduces Investor Visa
Kazakhstan has launched a new visa aimed at attracting foreign investors. Anyone who puts at least $300,000 into local companies or securities can now apply for a residence permit valid for up to 10 years.
With this move, Kazakhstan joins countries like the U.S., UAE, Singapore, and several in Europe that already offer long-term residency through investment. Applications can be submitted online via the government website egov.kz.
The process is pretty straightforward: get an entry visa first, invest in a local business or purchase securities, gather all the necessary documents, and apply for residency. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says this kind of program has already proven successful in bringing in capital, tech, and business activity elsewhere.
This isn’t Kazakhstan’s only new visa initiative. In late 2024, the country also launched the Neo Nomad visa (a one-year option for remote workers employed by foreign companies), making it easier for digital nomads to live and work from Kazakhstan.
