Visa-Free Travel Between Morocco and Kazakhstan Begins March 19
Starting March 19, 2025, citizens of Morocco and Kazakhstan will be able to travel between the two countries without a visa, thanks to a newly implemented visa exemption agreement. The accord was signed by the foreign ministers of both nations on September 26, 2024, during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The announcement follows a landmark first official visit to Rabat by Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu, who met with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, on February 28.
Key Details of the Visa Exemption:
- Eligibility: Applies to holders of valid national passports
- Duration: Visa-free stays of up to 30 calendar days per visit within a 180-day period
- Limitations: Longer stays or activities such as employment, study, or business will still require the appropriate visa obtained through embassies or consulates
