After hotel pickup, you will be taken to Medeo Gorge (1690 meters above sea level), where you will take a cable car to Shymbulak ski resort area. Having ridden about 20-25 minutes above magnificent fur-trees up to the altitude of 2260 meters above sea level, you will get to the 1st level of ski resort, occupied by fancy restaurants, ski & snowboarding school and mountain hotel. You will be provided a day ski-pass with access to all slopes to enjoy skiing from 9:00am till 5:00pm.
Shymbulak has its own special atmosphere. There you can see the skiers who like ironed track as well as the snowboarders who prefer extreme downhills with breathtaking jumps and turns. On sunny days Shymbulak gathers together thousands of visitors. On chairlifts you can reach Talgar Pass (3163 meters above sea level). Only professional skiers climb here since the descent from the pass is too steep. Ski slopes of Shymbulak are certified by International Ski Federation (FIS) and its downhill and giant slalom tracks are listed among the top ten toughest trails in the world.

Important Information and Recommendations:

The guide accompanies tourists from the hotel to Shymbulak and back, and assists with navigation at the resort, as well as with English/Russian translations. The guide does not ski with the tourists.
To rent ski equipment, ID card is required to leave as a guarantee
Due to high attendance of the resort on weekends and public holidays, the long queues to the ski lifts are expected on these days
